The More I See You

(Nat King Cole)

Each time I look at you
Is like the first time
Each time you're near me
The thrill is new
And there is nothing
That I wouldn't do for
The rare delight of the sight
Of you for

The more I see you,
The more I want you
Somehow this feeling
Just grows and grows
With every sigh
I become more mad about you
More lost without you and so it goes

Can you imagine how much I love you?
The more I see you as years go by
I know the only one for me can only be you
My arms won't free you, my heart won't try

I know the only one for me
Can only be you
My arms won't free you,
My heart won't try

Guardian Angels

My guardian angels, Nathalie and Regina, just advised me not to bring expensive gifts as cigars and liquors. Spending too much on presents would suggest that I tend to overspend, which in the long term is not good for their daughter. They said I should bring fruits or chicken essence. I will stick to fruits then.

Meeting the King and Queen

I will meet the king and queen tomorrow for the first time. Funny, my princess is a lot more nervous than I am. On a list where 1 is totally relaxed and 10 is in panic, I am a cool 3, and Sylvia is around 7-8. I accidentaly met her sister a while ago, she gave me the thumbs up. I took it as a good omen.

I decided to call the king and queen Uncle and Aunty even though as an ang mo (Caucasian) I don't necesserily have to do so. I will bring cigars for Uncle and probably a bottle of Baileys for Aunty. Then we all will go for a dinner.

In the Hungarian folk stories the old king has three wishes to test the love of the prince. They are usually like getting a feather from the half-lion half-bird beast, a golden hair from the devil, or an apple from the tree that grows faster than the prince can climb. I hope this king will be more rational and his three wishes will be to finish my MBA, get a good job and take care of his little daughter.

What a Perfect Day

Sunday was a perfect day. Princess Sylvia and I had brunch at Swiss Culture, we ate cheese fondue. This was something I'd been craving for a while. It was good, but not as delicious as I can make it. I have to buy a fondue set, I put it on the to-buy-list. It's always fun to invite friends over for a cheese or chocolate fondue. And if I keep on losing my bets with Nathalie, we usually bet on chocolate fondue, I should rather make it at home.

Then we sat down at Max Brenner to sip a cup of thick hot dark chocolate. It tasted somehow sweeter than expected, but it was still delicious. Alex showed me this place about two months ago. To my surprise, they played a Hungarian song while we were there.

Then we took a romantic walk at Harbour Front. The same place where the Princess and I ended our first date. So much different now as a couple. On our first date, we set side by side talking about ourselves. This time she sat on my lap, and we were kissing a lot more than talking.

Then we went back to Esplanade and watched Cabaret. The play was really good, Fei Xiang was able to shine. I bought the tickets right after our first date 6 weeks ago. I just knew I would not regret it.

Afterwards, we ate a bit at MOS Burger. I always forget how small the burgers are and how messy you get while eating.

Finally we headed to a bbq organized by my friend, Anuj. Not an easy task to organize a bbq during school break, and quite many of the guys who are in Singapore were not able to come. Everyone is busy with internships, traveling or just meeting other friends.

And to finish the day with some romantic moments, I massaged my Princess. My tui na massage skills, which I learnt from a Chinese master in Budapest, were quite rusty, but she seemed to like it. I will practice on her regulary to revive it.

Happily Ever After

"Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, the king and queen were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. They gave her the name Sylvia. And throughout the land, everyone was happy lah... until the princess grew up and they found out that she was cursed with a frightful enchantment, she cannot find love. Desperate, they sought the help of a fairy godmother who had them lock the young princess away in a condo, there to await the kiss... of the handsome Prince of Darkness. It was he who would chance the perilous journey through terrible hot and unbearable humidity traveling for many days and nights, risking life and limb to reach Hougang street 92. For he was the bravest, and most handsome... in all the land. And it was destiny that his kiss would break the dreaded curse. He alone would climb to the ninth floor of the condo to enter the princess's chambers, cross the room to her sleeping silhouette, pull back the gossamer curtains to find her..."

"This is not how it happened grandpa. I asked grandma. She said you were watching The Shining at your place when you kissed her."
